BIO

“Creative” is the word which best describe me. I am a self-taught Digital Artist and Heavy Metal music lover with 10 years of experience in Graphic Design. As an artist, my favorite subjects are characters and portraits, although I have a crunch for historical costumes and ornaments.

I have the honor of being member of IT’S ART MAG staff, helping moderating the site’s gallery and producing educational content such as video tutorials, interviews and articles with focus on Portraiture and Fantasy Art. Visit www.itsartmag.com

As a writer, I have published my first book in the end of 2012, via Mad Artist Publishing www.madartistpublishing.com , an indie house with the mission of showcasing and revealing awesome art. Though an art book filled with tips and techniques for Fantasy digital painters like me, Art of Isis Sousa & Guests (original tittle) was a dream-come-true and is coming soon in a new edition under a different tittle: Fantasy Digital Painting Techniques & Video Tutorials.

Right now I am putting together an inspirational book for artists and designers about Creative Collaboration, which will come also via Mad Artist Publishing. I’m working on my first fiction tittle; an anthology of Dark Fantasy illustrated short stories: “The Chronicles of Duskland” - coming this Fall.

My CG work is mostly suited for COVER ART, CD ARTWORK, POSTERS, EDITORIAL AND BOOK INTERIOR.
I can work on a variety of painting techniques, including black & white.

Price/rates:

I calculate the fee for a job based on (but not limited to) these main factors:
1- How much time it will I take to accomplish the job
2- How complex and detailed is the job and what will it be used for
(A book cover? A game? A website?)
3- Commissioner/contractor’s estimate deadline
4- Market value for the job

Regarding interviews, tutorials, and artist talks:

I am always available for interviews, tutorials and making ofs. I am always engaged and interested in trading ideas with other artists and aspirants regarding software, brushes, creative process and solving artworks.
